Regis House Community Center (Incorporated as Estrella del Mar de Los Angeles) Summer Day Camp provides an invaluable resource of healthy meals, recreational activities and a safe environment for youth ages 6 to 19, living in the most densely populated metropolis west of the Mississippi. Youth will experience life-changing opportunities where they will cook, swim, hike, camp, and venture out on field trips throughout Los Angeles.
The 4-week day camp, starts June 24, 2013, from Monday thru Friday and costs $125 per child per week to operate. Regis House has never turned a family away for their inability to pay. Without your help, the number of participants could be jeopardized. Our goal is to help the underprivileged youth of the Westlake/Old Historic Filipinotown area of Los Angeles have a super fun-filled, enriching and memorable summer day camp.
Regis House Community Center is a private non-profit owned and operated by the Sisters of Social Service. Programs are implemented by a small staff, caring volunteers and is solely supported by donations, which puts the summer day camp program's future and success in the hands of our generous community of friends and supporters.
Regis House Community Center is a kind and understanding environment that works with families and individuals in need of assistance and resources regardless of their ethnicity or religious background. Our main goal is to meet basic human needs and provide culturally sensitive services offering social, educational, recreational, and life changing skills to make tangible and intangible impact in the community
