BENEFITING: TEAMMATES MENTORING PROGRAM
EVENT DATE: Sep 19, 2013
The Border to Border Challenge: Running from Scottsbluff to Omaha for TeamMates Mentoring Program
The Border to Border Challenge began as a question: How can a group of distance runners bring their passion for running together to raise awareness of the need for adult mentors for Nebraska's youth?
The answer: Organize a relay team, figure out the logistics and the run across Nebraska to raise awareness and recruit more mentors and raise proceeds to benefit the TeamMates Mentoring Program -- a youth program started in 1991 as a vision of Tom and Nancy Osborne to inspire youth to reach their full potential.
