Relief Fund for a Coworker
Organized by: Brandon Wallis
EVENT DATE Nov 10, 2014
My coworker's parents have just lost their home in a fire, and unfortunately his mother was injured as well. My coworker is a stand-up guy that I know personally - a hard worker in a small Mississippi town, so this one hits home. My cause is about compassion. People have helped me before when I was down, so now it is time to pay it forward.
Given the total loss, I am sure that any support would go a long way toward helping them stabilize until they can get further assistance.
For every $10 that is raised up to $300, I will hike a mile in the Arizona desert and log my adventures.
If you help me raise over $300 for his family, I will also donate hours to a local humane society and catalog my adventures.
If by some miracle the capstone of $1,000 is reached, then watch out, winter cap. I will shave my head bald for the good cause.
Let's make this fun, and let's help them out!
