This fundraiser is to honor the memory of Gary Paul Barr in a small way. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, they would appreciate your help in meeting the $1972.00 goal for scoliosis research in memory of Gary.

Why $1972? A nod to the year he was born.

If you knew Gary, please feel free to share a memory you have of him. Please visit his Facebook memorial page and share your pictures and memories of with others who cared about him.

If you didn't know him personally but felt compelled to donate, we thank you and would like to tell you a little bit about him.

The Lord sent Gary Paul Barr to this world on July 24, 1972 and called him home on April 18, 2015.

Gary was a free spirit who always had a smile for anyone who didn't. He enjoyed working with his hands. He did construction for a living and woodworking for fun. He was a die hard Alabama fan, but a bigger fan of his family. He once made an Auburn plaque for his older sister, who he ironically called 'Baby Girl'. If that doesn't speak to a man's values, I don't what does.

He attended Coffee Springs High School and lived in Alabama growing up, but made his home in Pensacola, Florida for the last 20 years. His sisters Cindy and Denise along with his brother Larry have not only lost a brother, but a dear friend.

Please consider donating to this worthy cause in honor of Gary, who would be happy knowing that something good, no matter how small, was happening during this time of grief.

He will be sorely missed.
