We can do this! #teamruthie
July 15, 2016
One of the greatest challenges in rescue is the financial aspect. In conjunction with the Michelson Found Animals Saving Pets Challenge, Remembering Ruthie Rescue has The Giving Grid Dog Days of Summer fundraiser to raise funds for immediate medical needs. We thank you in advance for your support.
From the young to the old, healthy to the sick, all Dog need our support. We do not discriminate against any dog and do whatever we can to make sure they well taken care. Case in point is Charlie who is listed in the 4 pictures. He was a stray in a rural county with no Animal Control and picked up by a nice lady who tried to find his family. Noone stepped up so we took him. He was just under 1 year old. Sadly while in foster care he got into some medications that were left down in reach causing him to go into Kidney failure. Even though we were just starting out and did not have alot of supporters we couldn't just let him die. He spent about a month in the hospital with everyday touch and go. Our Vet researched every avenue to get him through. And he did! While we encurred a 10K bill Charlie is a happy healthy boy who needs his BUN levels checked yearly.
We are purchasing a piece of property and hope to be on it at the end of the month which will enable us to provide more space and better play yard for their mental enrichment. We are one of the few who take in owner surrenders. We work with the owner's to try to help them keep they beloved pet whenever possible. Also with this property and with your generous Donations i am looking into providing Free Micrchips for those who cannot afford one. Dogs/Cats go missing and sadly never returned because of no ID on them.
Please help us make this a great year for RRR!
