We've gathered together to establish the Jennifer Bosanko Memorial Scholarship in celebration of a life that ended far too early on February 17, 2015, after a tough fight with melanoma, just weeks before her twenty-eighth birthday.
Jen was a person of many talents and passions: music, cooking, humor, business, a keen intellect and a skeptical approach to the world that made her thoughtful in conversation and resilient in spirit, and that make the absence of our beloved friend, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, granddaughter, Delta Gamma sister, and fellow William and Mary alum so much a greater deficit.
We are working with The College to raise and invest donations such that we can offer an annual scholarship to a William and Mary philosophy major. Your donations will support students who, like Jen, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, industriousness, and a well-rounded approach to taking on the world.
Thank you for your donation, and thank you for never forgetting our friend.
*This fund was listed as a "Contributions in memory of Jen are greatly appreciated and may be made to..." on the memorial service invitation sent by her family.
"The funds you donate will go to the Rixey Street Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing education, among other things. The Rixey Street Foundation intends to hold the money until it is large enough to support a William and Mary Scholarship. When the funds are transferred to William and Mary, the Foundation intends to inform the College of your contribution."
