BENEFITING: PLEASANT RIDGE EDUCATION FOUNDATION
Each year the entire 6th grade class at Magnolia visits the Alliance Redwoods in order to study science and ecology in the field. This week-long trip is an experience of a lifetime for the students, who get hands-on learning in a majestic setting. Donations will go directly towards transportation and lodging costs. Every year students struggle to fund-raise enough to cover the cost of this program, and the school district makes up the difference. This program is being considered as a potential cut if public school funding continues to dwindle. We would like to keep this program going by helping to contribute to the average yearly $11,000 cost.
