I have been poor to the point that I have been homeless. I am now working 2 jobs and in fact work at the shelter I once stayed at. I know that rebuilding a home can be costly. Everything from dishes to beds to chairs to curtains are money that a lot of recovering families don't have. I know I've been there. Therefore I want to open a store online and brick and mortar 'sin my community that can help offset some of these costs. I want the store to be called RENEW because that's what its all about. Renewing a home and hope and bringing back life to objects that might other wise be lost to the dump. I have been collecting furniture and housewares and have given out many in the last 20 years. But now I am trying to take it a step further. I want to rent a store front that people in need can come and get what they need. In my town thrift stores are huge but even that can be expensive, The few charities we have don't do much furniture and housewares are quantitied. I want a chance to offer vouchers for housewares and furniture to people coming out of shelters, had a house fire , flood or domestic violence situtations. Any one who is starting over really. I will sell some items to the general public to offset the cost of buying the basics for those in need but what I need is start up costs for the store itself. Not many banks want to talk about a store that gives away free items so I am asking ffor your help. I hope you feel my vision and help. Thanks from been there done that .... want to give back..... but need help doing it.
