BENEFITING: MENOMONEE VALLEY PARTNERS INC
We encourage you to watch the video.
In fall an old valley entrance will re-open after decades of being blocked. This entrance tunnels under the current rail and will bridge over the Menomonee River, it will be called the Valley Passage. It will connect people with jobs in the valley, Miller Stadium, and the Hank Aaron Bike Trail. At the entrance the Urban Ecology Center is making another new home! This is just down our street and months away from completion. We purchased our home four years ago knowing this passage was going to open. We are excited.
Check out this site for more information about the Hank Aaron Trail. http://www.hankaaronstatetrail.org/
Thank you Menomonee Valley Partners. Please donate. You won't regret it. Take a look at our pictures: beginning construction on the new passage/bridge, the newly created passage way, what the pass looks like today! A photo of the old foot bridge, and before and after rain photos.
The rain water runoff marshes were created to keep water out of our sewer system. Here in Milwaukee our sewer and street water runoff are combined. So during heavy rain fall the city is forced to dump untreated sewage into lake Michigan. This man made marsh helps keep all that water OUT!
Come visit, we'll make you lunch.
