Dear animal lovers from around the world,
Most of you know what happened in Tohoku, Japan. The earthquake and tsunami caused extensive damage to the people, towns, and animals.
Many animal lovers in Tohoku have tried to keep their pets; however, most shelters can't allow pets. With no other choice, many people are forced to abandon their pets, leaving them to fend for themselves.
There are a few nonprofit associations and individual volunteer groups trying to rescue the animals from the devastated areas. The updates on some blogs I have read say they need more help, whether it is with time or donations.
Together, let's send help to rescue animals separated from their owners, and to help those already rescued and in need of supplies to return to a normal life. Let's not forget our furry friends who are always there for us and love us unconditionally. By helping our furry friends reconnect and enjoy another day with their beloved humans, we will in turn be able to bring hope to those who would otherwise be lost without their beloved pets. Perhaps this will make it easier to overcome the challenges they now face after the destruction left behind by the earthquakes and tsunami.
The funds raised by this fundraiser will go towards animal rescue efforts in the disaster-stricken areas of Japan. This means not only rescuing animals from devastated areas, but also providing shelter for and treating the animals until they can be reunited with their families again.
