Rescued horses of Prilliput farm
Organized by: Kristen Hilliard
Prilliput farm, Horse Refuge was founded by my friend Mike about 10 years ago. He is a kind man who loves the natural kingdom and respects all life. After putting his daughter through Veterinary college, he was able to retire from his "day job" and build his dream. This dream can be found in Columbia County NY, on the rolling farmlands near the Hudson River. Here Mike lives in a small home, all of his acres and resources totally devoted to the care of the 20 horses that he has rescued, a few goats also live with the horses and former house cats and dogs who have been abandoned or given to Mike as a home of last resort for their former pets. Unfortunately one key part of Mike's dream was that the farm would be a resource to people and children in the community. Sadly after 10 years of building this last refuge for formerly domesticated animals, he continues to labor on alone, with little help or interest from the community. he is so busy taking care of the horses and farm that he has no time to navigate the expensive and complicated waters of advertising or just getting the word out. Mike has labored valiantly but he needs your help. he has little money left over after feeding all the animals and maintaining the farm. Mike is over 60 and is doing most of the farm work alone. i am seeking all possible avenues of help to him. and so i find myself at this website. I am reaching out to all dear kind and generous people to help Mike and Prilliput Farm and the dear and beautiful rescued horses.
