THE STORY:

Here's just one bird that needs your help -- Stevie's story:

Several months ago, this beautiful bird named Stevie (named after singer Stevie Nicks) was given up for adoption and placed with a man whose lifelong dream was to have a blue and gold macaw.

Unfortunately, weeks after the adoption, the new owner became ill and could no longer care for the bird. He also felt he didn't have enough experience with a bird this size. So he asked the Beauport Inn, which rescues and rehomes birds, to take Stevie.

Although the Inn already had seven large birds and space was tight, they made room for Stevie. In her new home, the bird is thriving and happy.

But the cage Stevie came with is quite old, and is held together in several places by plastic ties. Aside from the poor condition, it's also much too small for a bird this size.

We need your help to purchase a new cage for Stevie.

So please donate whatever you can, and share this with others. We appreciate your contribution, in any amount. No donation is too small, or too large.

Anything in excess of the money needed for the cage will go towards the more than $3,000 in medical expenses for another rescue, Sangria, a beautiful red and blue female eclectus.

Thank you! Your help is greatly appreciated!
