"On Saturday, 2 boys saw and an elderly lady on her hands and knees looking into a kudzu-filled ravine. They went to investigate and she said she lived near and had heard a dog bark & whimper for 2 days but couldn't see anything. The boys climbed down and found the little dog with its feet tied and hanging upside down from a vine, as if it had just been tied and tossed. He had gotten one foot loose, but the other was tied so tightly that the circulation was cut off for who knows how long. It is a swollen mess & the poor thing had tried chewing it off to get loose. The vet says she still may loose her foot, but right now, I have her in a soft bed, she's eaten almost a whole can of chicken cat food ( she wouldn't eat at the vet), has fresh water, on pain-killer/anti-inflammatory meds, antibiotics, & I'm soaking her foot in a warm betadine/water solution 3 times a day. She was scared from all she's been through, but is settling in."
