Rescue for Anita
Organized by: Darrell Travis
This is a rescue for two Christian missionaries. They are currently in Ghana, West Africa on a mission for their church and International agencies. Their names are Rebecca Mensah and Anita Buckman. They are mother and daughter. They left Australia on April 21st. and arrived in Ghana on April 23rd. Their mission ends on July 20th. On that date they lose the protection of the international agencies. Their lives will be in jeopardy every day they stay there after the 20th. They will be stranded and in peril in Ghana if I can’t help them.
They have been taking care of refugees from other areas as well as orphans in Ghana. Rebecca Mensah was involved in the flooding that took place in Ghana a few weeks ago. She lost most everything she had. This included her documents like her passport and other important papers. They initially worked in the same area, but the local authorities separated them as well as other members of their mission. So now, they see each other only on weekends.
They both have been caring for people injured in the flooding and the fuel station fire that happened during the flooding. This area sees massive rainfall that causes flooding at this time every year. They have endured many hardships on their mission to help people there.
They left Australia with quite a few other church members for this mission. They decided before leaving Australia that they were not going back to Australia. They want to come here to me. Anita is not only a Christian missionary, she is also my fiancee and soul mate. It took both of us many years to find each other and we wish to be together as soon as possible. Anita is very close to her mother and I couldn’t see them being apart from one another so during our conversations I suggested that she ask her mother if she would consider moving here too. She responded that she would like to move here also. I was and am very happy that Anita’s mother would move with her.
I am on a fixed income because of injuries suffered at work many years ago so am unable to come up with the funds needed to get Anita and her mother here. I am seeking help with getting that funding. It will be for plane tickets for the two of them and for shipping their personal possessions that they brought with them from Australia. I believe that we need $12,000 to do this. All three of us will be eternally grateful for any help that we receive to unite us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you all.
I forgot to include the following in my article. I want to reassure everyone who reads this article about Anita, that this is not a scam. I check out everyone I talk with online with several websites that check names, physical addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, etc. Anita and her mother come up clean on every site that I ran their information through. They are real, Christian people who have nothing to hide from anyone.
As an example of Anita and her mother's peril, Anita was robbed by two armed men riding motorcycles as she left a bank on 7-13-2015 about 1:30 pm her time. They threatened to shoot her and took her purse and everything it contained. The purse has not been recovered and I don't expect that it will be. It was probably thrown in the nearest garbage bin after being rifled through for valuables. She has never had anything like this happen to her before in her life. She said that she would never go on missionary work again. So, I told her that we could do a lot of good for people without leaving the USA.
