Rescue Justin Beefer
Organized by: Sary Leu
Justin Beefer's owners plan to slaughter him for meat this Fall of 2015.
We're on a rescue mission to create a happy ending for these two neglected animals. Ten, our horse, was ignored by his owner for years because he wasn't beautiful enough to be a show horse and was severely underweight when we adopted him. Beefy the cow was found in the woods, left to die by dairy farmers because he couldn't produce milk. These two, who are shy and afraid of the other animals, have become best friends. They're seen hanging out all day, grooming each other, eating together, and exploring the pastures. Stakes are high with such limited time, but we're determined to do everything we can to ensure Ten is able to keep his best friend. Ten isn't doing as well in his recovery as we had hoped, and it's apparent that the loss of his only friend will be extremely detrimental to his health. We're so hopeful that we will find enough compassionate people to make this miracle happen.
We need to raise $1600 in trade for the meat that Beefy would produce, as well as fees to board and relocate the pair. A year of boarding for our baby cow will cost around $2400, or $200 per month.
