Sheryl500 Rest in Angelic Peace
Organized by: Shawna Lee
There are sometimes occurances in our lives that we don't understand, but we must trust are part of God's devine plan.
When we are young, we dream of a life which goes down a certain path, with joy, happiness, and laughter at every turn. In our dreams, there are no tears, no dissappointments, no sadness, and certainly no loss of loved ones. Because in our human minds, that is what make sense, and we think that God would never allow bad things to happen to good people, especially those who love him and follow his Holy Scriptures. We fail to recognize that we are rain drops in a vast ocean and fail to recognize the undescribable, unmeasurable wisdom of the Almighty God, the one who snapped his fingers and the earth and heavens were formed. The one who blew gently and the Red Sea was parted. The one who watched his one and only Son be spat upon and crucified on the Cross for an undeserving people, and then his laugh could be heard across the universe as 3 days later he raised his Son from the dead to save the world. It is this wisdom that we have to grasp onto when circumstances in our lives arise that we would never have thought would have entered our dreams or our nightmares.
Back in the fall of 2012, my stepfather was layed off at Haliburton. With that was lost all benefits for him and my Mother, including life and health insurance. 2 months later, my Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. The Almighty and his uncomprehensible wisdom, prepared us for this moment 3 years ago when we bought a house in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by nature, that came with an attached apartment. At the time we did not know what we would use this for. But we see now the wisdom and timing of the Almighty, as this worked perfectly to shelter my Mother and her husband, Cary, as the disease made its presence further into her body.
We applied for medical assistance through the government and were denied 4 times. So we took it upon ourselves to seek natural treatments, which are expensive but worth every dime. We put our home under modification to help my stepfather care for my Mother 24/7. He cared for her with so much love. She was his Princess and he wanted to be by her side through this. The cancer spread into her spine and pinched her sciatic nerve, so she was confined to a wheelchair and could not move her left leg for over a year. She showed improvement several times not only with powerful prayer, but also with natural treatments. By this time she was finally approved for government assistance because the medical industry considered her terminal. They only wanted her to be comfortable. We on the other hand still fought with natural medicine which gave her an extra 1 1/2 years of life with us. She was so tired and wanted to give up several times, but fought and continued natural treatments. One day I went to see her and was in unbelief as I saw how much her health had declined. She said to me, "Baby girl, don't be mad at God." I felt my heart drop. I knew she had given up. Within 3 weeks, her health declined so fast right before our eyes. Now we may have only a few days left as she is unable to breath. Her body just lies there.
Let me tell you about this angel, my Mother, who rests here on our land.
She comforted the hurting all over the world. I remember my Mother praying with complete strangers who had just been diagnosed with cancer or lost a loved one. They had heard of my Mother through her website, www.thescripturetreeshop.com She literally touched lives all over the world. I would give anything to have Mother comfort myself, her husband & famiy as we are hurting.
She protected her Family. She has battled evil throughout her life and won. She tried to protect her Family from the deceitful ways of the evil one.
She loved her children and grandchildren. She took so much pride in her children and her grandchildren were the essence of perfection to her.
She lived life. She drank from the marrow of life and lived life to its fullest.
She was an ambassador of God. In Exodus 34:29, Moses came down from Mount Sinai and his face was so bright because he had been with God. When you met my Mother, you could tell by her smile that she was with God.
She was a Soldier for Christ. She stood face to face with death and said, like the Holy Scriptures say in I Corinthians 15:55, "Where O death is your victory? Where O death is your sting?"
There are things in life that I will never understand. As much as I think on them, research them, receive guidance from the wise, and pray, I will never understand why bad things happen to good people. I can only draw strength that God's grand plan will help me understand some day when I sit at his feet. As the old hymn says, "Farther along, we'll know all about it. Farther along, we'll understand why. Cheer up my brother, live in the sonshine. We'll understand it, all by and by."
I love you Momma and I love you Almighty God for allowing her to be my north star all my life.
In the photos you will see all of her family. My mother had an voice of an Angel and when she would sing, it would give everyone chills that was in her prescense at the moment. There will be 3 videos: 1st is when she sang for us on Christmas Eve 2013. She was able to stand and sing for us. 2nd is when The Freedom Biker church drove off as they waved to her after standing over her in Prayer. 3rd is the last night 06/23/2014 she was coherent. She was determined to go outside and sing Amazing Grace. "I apologize, this site will only allow 12 photos and one video"
