Its getting real!
May 27, 2016
EVENT DATE Jun 01, 2016
I first traveled to northern Uganda in the summer of 2015. After just a short week I knew my life was forever changed and I began to feel God calling me to return to Restoration Gateway for a season. I did not know what length of time that season would be but I simply prayed that God would open the doors for me to return. After spending my summer at Restoration Gateway I have decided to follow Gods calling and move permently to Restoration Gateway. I simply wanted to be apart of sharing the gospel through actions and words with the people of northern Uganda.
Restoration Gateway has many different areas in which they serve, the major way being through an orphan ministry. Restoration Gateway is home to 150 orphans and growing. Each child lives on the property in a home of eight children and one house mama (often a widow) and also attends school on the campus. God has given me a desire to educate both children and adults and I feel the Lord is calling me to teach in Uganda both in the school and also as a resource to the other teachers at RG to support them in their teaching.
I will be working in the school as well as in many other areas of RG. I will be working with teams who come on short term trips, leading bible studies with the mamas who are there and encouraging them and building relationships with women in surrounding villages.
Each year will cost about $15,000 . This will cover the cost of my airfare, food on the ground and my lodging while I am there. I would ask you to prayerfully consider supporting me both through prayer and financially. I feel God calling me to go but I cannot do this without some who are willing to send.
