BROWN GRAND OPERA HOUSE INC's Fundraiser:

Restore, Return, and Rig the 1907 Hand Painted Drop Curtain

BROWN GRAND OPERA HOUSE INC's Photo

THE STORY:

The Brown Grand Theatre has been serving the North Central Kansas Region for 108 years. In 1907 Earl Brown presented his father Mr. Napoleon Brown with a hand painted drop curtain. During the years that the building was being used as a movie house the historic drop curtain suffered some water damage when a tornado passed over the buildling. This funding campaign is going to fund the restoration, return and rigging of the 1907 drop curtain!

Price Breakdowns
Restoration $5,000
Return $2,000
Rigging $5,000

In memory of Rev. C. Milton Lenz: Dad and I were in the Grand Reopening production of "The Vanderbilt Cup" in 1980. There are a lot of fond memories for me in the Brown Grand. Break a leg, in restoring the original Napoleon Curtain! 2 years ago
