Reunite Cesar and Son
Organized by: Cesar Leyva
Please help us reunite Cesar and his young son. Cesar came to America with his younger siblings many years ago when their parents could not provide care for them. Cesar has helped raised his younger siblings into successful adults who have become US citizens. At some point, Cesar married and had a beautiful baby boy with his wife. Even though Cesar and his former wife are divorced now, he and his young son have a great bond and a wonderful relationship. Cesar hired an immigration attorney to work on his US legal status but was picked up by ICE during a traffic stop. He was told he must sign forms agreeing to be deported but he refused. He wanted to speak with his lawyer. After multiple attempts to get him to sign, ICE became 'frustrated' and simply put him on a unmarked car bound for Mexico. In less than three hours from the time of his traffic stop he found himself deported to Mexico, a place he hadn't lived in for over a decade. We are currently working with another law firm trying to facilitate Cesar's return. We appreciate any donation you might be willing to give but, more importantly, we would love to just have our cause heard. Share this story or like our Facebook page: Reunite Cesar and Son. Let's rejoin this father and son and continue to provide justice to those lost in the deportation process.
