Reuniting Nicole with her Father
Organized by: Nicole Park
Hello, my name is Nicole, and the closure I need is 5000 miles away. Before I further explain how your funds would help me, a little context: When I was 2 years-old, my mother divorced my father, and since then I've had a less-than-ideal relationship with my father. I would see him every weekend, and I had a blast spending time with him. Back then, that was enough. But after I entered junior high/middle school, I came to realize the strain that put on my life. What had been weekly visits, turned into monthly ones, then yearly, and finally he seemed to vanish from my life as his work responsibilities took over his. For a while now, he has resided in Seoul, South Korea. His work brought him there and has kept him there. Rarely ever hearing a single word from him, I was constantly worried. In fact, I still do, and it causes me great pain not being able to reach him (even by e-mail). With your help, I won't have to mindlessly await his return. I'd give anything to see him, and more importantly, to recieve assurance from that. If I had the chance to just make sure that he is well, that'd be all the closure and security I'd need to go home and move on in my life. Why do I need your help you ask? I'm a sophomore in high school and unfortunately, I don't have nearly enough money to fly myself to Korea. I am not receiving any (monetary) support from the rest of my family because they, to be frank, don't care for him (the divorce caused a lot of destruction). But hopefully, with your help, a reunion with my father doesn't have to be a pipe dream. Every dollar donated will be used for a round trip from California to Korea (this includes room and board, taxi fares, and of course the flight).
