June 28: Attend the trial of two defendants charged with felonies
April 10, 2017

Stand up against political repression under the Trump/Pence regime! Drop the Charges on the RNC 16 Defendants!  Burning the American Flag See More

THE STORY:

ALERT: Donations needed to pay for court transcripts of the January 26 hearing to dismiss the misdeanor charges, along with ongoing travel expenses and more.

NEW: Donate $25 or more and receive a t-shirt with the Revolution Club's message: America Was NEVER Great! We Need to Overthrow The System!  Be sure to include your name, address, and t-shirt size.

The Revolution Club has been organizing for an actual revolution at the soonest possible time, among people on the streets where murdering police are still getting away with killing our people, and at the Republican Convention in Cleveland and the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia. Your financial support is needed to help cover expenses for the Club's work.  Please make an online donation now.

The Revolution Club stirred many new people into political life, with the Message from the RCP Central Committee which plants a pole of a radically different future and digs beneath the surface of things to get to the common source of the many, seemingly disconnected, outrages of this system. They fought for the understanding that Trump vs. Clinton is nothing but criminal choices of a criminal system. They called out to people: We Need to Overthrow, Not Vote For, This System!

They connected people with the works and leadership of BA [Bob Avakian], engaging them with clips from his talk, "Revolution -- Nothing Less!" and with, "BAsics from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian." They distributed Revolution newspaper, enabling people to really understand and act to change the world...giving a living picture and scientific analysis of what is going on in the world and why.

Club members were strong, determined, and defiant in the face of massive police mobilization, arrests, and brutality at the hands of the pigs, and Nazi and Christian fundamentalist fanatics. They went into the neighborhoods of the oppressed, led people into the streets, and boldly delivered the message: "America was NEVER great—we need to OVERTHROW this system!"

Both at the RNC and the DNC Joey Johnson and Carl Dix, supported by other Revolution Club members, burnt the American flag to make a powerful statement that "American was NEVER great and to expose that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are both "Criminal choices of a criminal system that must be overthrown."

At the RNC Joey and 16 others were illegitimately arrested and have serious charges from the action of burning the flag.  Some of your donation will help carry out a political and legal campaign to force the authorities to drop all the charges, including helping defendants get to Cleveland for court appearances.

In memory of my brother Thomas who died tragically, shockingly, and unexpected in the deep South (Georgia) at the young age of 14. I was only 10 at the time. I have after all these years been unable to describe the specifics of how my brother died. 7 months ago

Thanks Ron for your additional contribution. The RNC 16 is one of the first legal challenges to the dangerous and deadly regime Trump intents to impose. Compelling the government to drop the charges is part of setting more favorable terms to stop fascism. 9 months ago
