BENEFITING: AMAZON CARES
These helpless puppies need you! Amanda was living in very poor conditions on the street. Luckily a good samaritan brought her to Amazon Community Animal Rescue, Education & Safety so that we could ensure that she and her litter would survive. You can see a video of Amanda caring for her newborn pups at http://bit.ly/2nXt3Wj & while you are there please "Like" our page!
If you donate $25 or more you can name a special puppy and you can send a free e-card to the person you honor!
In recent weeks Amazon CARES has rescued several pregnant dogs living on the streets of Iquitos, Peru. Sydney and her puppies would not be alive today were it not for the skill of our Medical Veterinarian Edwin Inga, who performed an emergency C-section. We named this white dog Sydney, to honor volunteer Sydney Young.
People abandon these helpless puppies in boxes and bags by our door.
These stories are all too common, and these special animals need specialized care to restore their health, and preventative care to ensure a healthy future.
Despite an overflowing no-kill shelter, we do not turn animals away. We feed them and provide veterinary care while trying to find loving homes for them.
We are the ONLY domestic animal charity in the region, registered in Peru and as a 501(c)3 in the United States.
Our goal is to provide the absolute best environment for each animal in our care, and your donation helps us achieve that goal!
We are grateful to our donors who have supported us since 2004.
