For what it's worth... if everyone thought that other people will help and they don't have to, noone would ever help. Stop assuming others are taking this on to help and start being those people actually helping.
You're in your warm house getting ready for Thanksgiving and shopping the day after while some people no longer have a house. Donate. Volunteer. Help.

Shortly after Hurricane Sandy made landfall and caused tremendous destruction to the properties and lives of our neighbors in need, Robin Hood reactivated the Relief Fund which was originally started after the attacks of 9/11. Now —as then— Robin Hood is here to help the entire tri-state area get back on its feet by providing essentials like housing, food and cash disbursements to those most in need.
We take our role as the steward of your philanthropic dollars very seriously. We approach our response to Hurricane Sandy with the same level of commitment to quality and efficacy we apply to everything we do. As you consider how you might want to help those in need during this difficult time, please consider giving generously to Robin Hood's Relief Fund.
