Manuela Raposo wrote -The Rhode Island Welcome Back Center (RIWBC) is a not for profit 501c3 social service agency that was founded in June 2008, targeting an unusual population: the professional trained outside of the United States who is seeking to use his or her skills to re-enter the local RI workforce. June 2nd, 2017, marks the ninth year anniversary of the RI Welcome Back Center. Nine years of assisting foreign trained professionals in RI embark on meaningful pathways that have led them to re-entry into the local workforce. Among the many services provided are the following: • Career pathway planning • Employer networking • English language instruction • Re-credentialing and licensing support • Employer-based clinical exposure and internship opportunities • Workshops facilitating the understanding and acculturation to the U.S. Workforce • Tutoring and study groups to ensure licensing exam preparation We continue to work tirelessly to keep our doors open, providing a place where foreign trained professionals can find the resources they need to achieve their goals. However, none of this is possible without your help. Please help us celebrate nine years of service by donating to the RI Welcome Back Center today! Thank you in advance.
