Rice Bucket Challenge for Liberia
Organized by: Andrew Escobar
The Ebola Crisis is Effecting Every Man, Women, and Child in Liberia, Not Just the Sick and Dying!
PLEASE DONATE $10.00 or more to purchase rice, or a bottle water for our friends from Liberia, Africa. Without our combined help in raising money to purchase rice, water, and other food, our friends from Liberia will suffer unimaginable consequences effecting the most vulnerable; infants and the elderly.
If the poverty stricken nation of Liberia were not suffering enough due to an under-developed economy, collateral effects of the Ebola outbreak are now threatening healthy populations with starvation due to government imposed restrictions on travel limiting trade and commerce. What food stores are available to the people can not be purchased by the average person due to retail price gouging and skyrocketing wholesale prices. A 50 lb. bag of rice is now 4 times the cost at $50 US which is equivilent to $4500 in Liberian dollars. The travel restrictions are occurring both internally by the Liberian government in their attempt to quarantine large areas hit hardest by Ebola contagion but also by neighboring countries banning travel to and from Liberia. Please help put food and water on our Liberian friend's tables!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
