The Boys & Girls Club of Whatcom proves an avenue and a safe place for kids to go to after school and during the summer. There are currently four clubs with a desire to some day have more clubs throughout Whatcom County. Think of it this way, over 22% Wh. Co. students will not graduate on time, and 45% of students qualify for free/reduce lunches. What with the support at the clubs over 13,000 hours are spent helping students with their homework and they serve 79,000 healthy meals and snacks in 2015. This cost money and of course the clubs depend a great deal on volunteers and the money. So if every house hold in Whatcom County gave let's say $10 per month that would prove a great deal of the need to fund the programs, which are needed at each of the clubs for today and tomorrow. An for those that can and many of you can a large donation of let's say a $1,000 would be great per month or per years.
