Hi my name is Richard. I live in st. Louis Missouri travel back and forth to Arkansas about a 7 hour drive to go visit my son. On one particular weekend I set out to go see him. I started having pains and cramping in my lower abdominal area. I dismissed it has gas. 3 hours into my trip I was hurting pretty bad started getting sick at my stomach. 4 hours into my trip I had to pull over and was throwing up what looks like yellow bIle. 5 hours into my trip I pulled over and curled up in a ball in my front seat and tried to sleep hoping the pain would go away. I could not sleep went ahead and finish the drive. I finally made it to Hot Springs. I called my sister to take me to the hospital. I couldn't drive anymore. I arrived at the hospital they took me for emergency surgery. When I awoke the doctor told me gangrene had set in and it was good that I got it out when I did. I was in the hospital for a couple of days and then released. Went back to Missouri I thought it was all over. I was hurting again this time it seems worse. I went back to the hospital here in St.Louis. They found a mass as big as a grapefruit in the place where my appendix used to be. I was running a fever of 105 heart rate was astounding and nothing could stop the pain. They put an incision in my side with tubes in a bag that drained the cyst. I had a real bad infection my white blood cell count was off the charts. After a month in the hospital enduring a lot of pain and discomfort the cyst had finally gone away I was released. They left the drainage bag and then another two weeks just to make sure. This is the worst thing that I have ever endured doctors thought I was going to die infection was bad. I pulled through it. I had lost 50 pounds. Now I have well over $100,000 in medical bills I had no insurance. I'm hoping for some help with this looking for the kind-hearted. Thank you!
