BENEFITING: The Mandi Schwartz Foundation Inc
EVENT DATE: Apr 03, 2016
THE STORY:
Sunday, April 3, 2016 marks the five year passing of our friend and teammate, Mandi Schwartz. Mandi was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in December of 2008 and battled the disease for over 3 years. Mandi’s quiet determination and will to live has taught us countless lessons. Everyday, Mandi reminds us to be selfless and kind, courageous and tenacious. Mandi also reminds us to never miss a day of training! Ever!
Mandi came back to Yale in the winter of 2010…She was in remission. She was also the first one at the rink and the last to leave. Mandi was back on the ice as soon as the doctors gave the greenlight, and she was ready for business. Never missing a beat, Mandi had a spin bike in her hospital room all along.
In celebration of Mandi’s life and legacy, we invite you to sweat, laugh, and pedal hard. Please join Mandi’s teammates, friends and admirers for A Ride For Mandi on April 3rd at 2:00pm at Soul Cycle Brooklyn Heights (55 Court Street, Brooklyn, New York). All proceeds will go The Mandi Schwartz Foundation (www.mandi17.org).
