Fill in the blank:
Every day, a cancer patient needs ____________ to get their lifesaving treatments.
If you answered "a ride," you're right. For people with cancer, finding a ride is just one more challenge on top of a cancer diagnosis. That's where Rides of Hope comes in.
Rides of Hope provides low-income cancer patients in Indianapolis with a free cab ride to and from their vital doctors' appointments. As a program of Little Red Door Cancer Agency, Rides of Hope partners with a local taxi company to provide safe, professional and courteous service for Little Red Door's most vulnerable clients. In 2012, there were 7,612 Rides of Hope provided for clients of Little Red Door.
Currently, the program serves cancer patients in Indianapolis, Indiana.
