Riding For Sarah
Organized by: Debra McGraw
One of six children of Danny and Misty Reddick of Cadiz, 12-year-old Sarah Reddick was something of a surprise when she was born. Danny and Misty had three children when they decided to have just one more. Instead, they had triplets, a boy and two girls, Isaiah, Rebecca, and Sarah. Misty's mother, Linda Caldwell, lived with them for seven years. Misty says, "They were HER babies." The girls were passengers in the car Linda was driving in Cadiz when they were involved in a two-vehicle accident that claimed Sarah's life. Their brother Isaiah wasn't with them. The kids just celebrated their 12th birthday on Aug. 5. Sarah was the oldest, born in 2003 at 7:46 pm, followed by Isaiah at 7:47 and Rebecca at 7:48. They were delivered by emergency Caesarean-section in Louisville, early but healthy. They weren't the first triplets in the family, either. Three of Linda's sisters were triplets, born in 1927. The family was surrounded by community support when the triplets were born, a community that was almost as shocked at the number of babies as the Reddicks themselves. It's a community that's watched the children grow and will mourn with them now. This fundraiser is to raise money to continue the scholarship in Sarahs name and to assist with the families expenses due to medical bills.
