Riley will spend the long hot summer lounging in his kiddie pool and taking naps. He would like your generous sponsorship as he endeavors to do absolutely nothing. Of course your sponsorship will really go to the Top of the Rock Tiger Sanctuary in Arkansas. Patrick does not get to lounge around in kiddie pools. First of all, he would not fit, and second taking care of the tigers is a full time job. Please help us to help him. There are all kinds of great donation contests on Crowdrise right now. In addition, 2 people or animals who donate at least $20 will be entered to win a Crowdrise t shirt or hat (shipped to a US address only). Contest ends August 8, at 11:59 pm, which is Riley's 4th gotcha day.
Obi The Tiger Needs A New House Source:NWHS and Top Of The Rock Wildlife Sanctuary
Well, little Obi The Tiger has gone and done it. This little exuberant girl has flattened her den house. It was very sturdy and served the prior resident for many years (18+ years) but Obi was not as kind to our sturdy house. She left it alone since her arrival last September, but last week she intentionally (albeit playfully) completely destroyed it. NWHS members may remember the big plastic tank we purchased for Apache the tiger last year, in which we cut a door and added a plywood floor. It's awesome and he loves it. Indestructible, dry, warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We sincerely thank those who chipped in on that purchase.
We were able to get that tank pre-owned (but never used) at a low cost. However, we are purchasing a new one for Obi Tiger. It doesn't need to be as big because of her small size (she is full grown, just small) but it will be brand new and cost quite a bit more (around $600). If anyone would like to chip in, we would be very grateful. We have a friend from Crowdrise and Facebook who has been running fundraisers, along with one now.
