Kristie was a beautiful young woman who loved life. She was strong, determined and courageous. Living on her own and working full time, she decided to go back to college. She graduated with honors and eventually landed her dream job. At some point in her life, she discovered a love for running. She was good at it and was always encouraging others to join her. It was not unusual for her to begin her work day with an early run welcoming the morning sunrise. She was fiercely independent and yet was the happiest when she was with family and friends. She loved being a part of celebrations, birthdays, baby dedications, showers and weddings. She was looking forward to standing as maid of honor in her best friend’s wedding so there was great concern when she did not show up. She was missing several days and on a Monday in November her body was discovered. She had been brutally stabbed. The man who took her life was someone she knew very well..it was a coworker.
