BENEFITING: Arc of the US
EVENT DATE: Apr 05, 2014
I am currently training for the Hattiesburg Rise & Shine 5k in order to support The Arc of The US and The Arc of Southeast Mississippi. Do you know what The Arc is? It is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing community-based services to individuals with mental challenges. The Arc does an amazing job of promoting and encouraging the acceptance of those with mental disabilities by helping them interact with local people in the community. These special needs people have been working hard to provide hand-made pottery for each runner who is participating in the Rise & Shine race. These individuals love to get involved with the race and they thrive off of the positive attention they receive from both the racers and volunteers.
I need your help in order to raise money to support The Arc of The US in their continuing efforts to help the mentally challenged. I am involved with the Special Olympic program and I have seen first-hand what an impact only a small amount of money can have on an organization. No donation is too small, just a few dollars can allow us to help care for people who are differently abled than you or I.
All donations received through CrowRise will be going towards The Arc of the US, if you would like to specifically donate to The Arc of Southeast Mississippi, you can do so by visiting www.hattiesburgarc.com . You can also make a donation on race day via Hattiesburg Clinic's The Rise and Shine Half-Marathon and 5k.
Thank you so much for your support!! Noah Bourdeu
