Funds raised will train mothers to run their own Rising businesses. When a mother heads up her own micro-enterprise her daughter’s life is forever changed.
The daughters of our Rising entrepreneurs are:
- more likely to attend school, to become literate, and gain access to higher educational opportunities
- more likely to avoid childhood marriage and pregnancy
- more likely to stay healthy, avoid HIV, and have a longer life expectancy
- more likely to live a life of freedom, with less exposure to the risk of Trafficking and the slave trade
At Rising International we spread hope and
dignity by selling home decor, jewelry and
fashion accessories handmade by women
living in the poorest and most dangerous
places in the world.
Our focus is working with women in high risk
environments, such as those in refugeecamps,
those living with HIV/AIDS, homeless women,
displaced immigrants, former slaves, or those
in war-torn regions of the world.
In addition, we train women and teens, many
living in impoverished areas in the United
States, to run their own Rising Home Party
businesses. They earn an income selling
fair trade goods for their global sisters. It’s
a total win-win: The more our local
entrepreneurs prosper, the more they
change the world.
