Help keep our family togheter
Organized by: James Norman
I'm asking for your help to keep my family together. My fiance, five-year-old daughter, and I live together in a small one bedroom apartment. We are happy here. We have made a life here. We are able to pay our rent. It is a struggle, but we have fought tooth and nail to stay here and we believed we had accomplished that through our own hard work. Until yesterday. Since both my fiance and I have bad credit (student loans are no joke, kids), we require a co-signer when our lease is up August 1, Until yesterday, we had that co-signer. Yesterday, just two days before the paperwork was due to be signed, our co-signer abruptly and catastrophically backed out. It is a potentially mortal blow to the heart of my young family. We work very hard and we pay our rent. We were not asking for a dime, only a signature. Brick wall. So now I'm turning to you. My five-year-old daughter, who is very happy here, is turning to you. In order to stay in this apartment and give our daughter the continuity she desperately needs, we need to come up with more money than we have in order to pay a full three months extra rent because of our credit. We simply don't have it. I feel as though the rug has been ripped out from under us. We have worked very hard to make this happen, and losing our co-signer without explanation is completely unfair. So if I've ever made you laugh, or if you have anything you could give to help keep my family together, I'm begging you to give what you can. I've never wanted to ask you for a dime, but we need this. There's no way around it, and there's no place else to go. Please. From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of a very happy little girl I'd like to keep that way, I'm asking you to give what you can. Thank you for reading, and I appreciate you no matter what.
