As many of you may, or may not know, my father, Frank Winnaman died on March 23, 2012, after a 12 year battle with prostate, skin, throat, lung, and brain cancers. He received all of his care at USC, where he was given the most comprehensive and cutting edge treatments available today. He would have surgery, chemo, and radiation one month, and then be back on the ski slopes enjoying his life the next. This photo was taken of me and my dad on the slopes in Big Bear, not long after treatment. In the end, he was so appreciative to USC for giving him the best quality of life possible for someone in his condition. As a family, we are forever grateful.
However, there is much work to be done in the fight against cancer, and that is why I have joined Rivals United for a Kure. USC and UCLA Medical Centers are two of the finest in the country. With your help, they can seek new breakthroughs in cancer treatments and research, and one day find an end to this horrible disease.
My dad didn't make it, but I know he'd want me to Fight On! Please join the fight with me!
Loyally, Julie Ann xoxo
