I was diagnosed at 18 months old with failure to thrive due to my Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition that affects the lungs, pancrease, liver and other vital organs. For the majority of us our lungs fill with fluid known as mucus and in the lungs this mucus hardens lowing our lung expanision and ability to take in air and breath adequatly. We take medications to help thin and losen the mucus in hopes of brining it up in order to maintain open airways and high lung functions. I have been lucky and unimpacted by my Cystic Fibrosis untill my early adult hood. As it seems that i am getting older i have become a little more dependent on my medications and treatments such as a percusser vest which vibrates your lungs to help break up any mucus packed in there. Currently keeping on weight has been my biggest struggle so i suppliment with boost and ensure high calorie drinks. As well as take multivitamins and enzymes to help digest food with everything i eat. The money that you have donated is going towards a great cause and helping to discover new medicaitons and better treatments to keep our weight up and lungs clear. In hopes of also one day finding a cure. We would all like to "Breathe easy" and not just use that term when a person with Cystic Fibrosis passes away. So please help out and donate your "beer drinking money" or that "late night taco bell run" and help save not only me but many lives of other.
HERES TO HOPE IN FINDING MEDICATIONS AND TREATMENTS THAT PROLONG AND HELP THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OUR FIGHT AGAINST CYSTIC FIBROSIS AND ONE DAY LET CF STAND FOR CURE FOUND!
