BENEFITING: UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND FOUNDATION INC
Donations will be used to help establish The Ryan Michael Saba Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of Maryland Foundation, Inc. The Fund will serve as a living legacy of Ryan and his interests in nature, science and the environment. The Memorial Fund will be managed by the University of Maryland Foundation and utilized to provide annual distributions of money to support promising graduate students who are involved in research at the Horn Point Laboratory in Cambridge, Maryland.
Ryan developed many close friends and work colleagues at Horn Point during the last year of his life, and his curiosity about nature, and life, was boundless. He strived every day to make today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today. He would like future graduate students to carry on his legacy. Please help us keep his memory alive.
The Horn Point Laboratory is world-known for its scientific research on the Chesapeake Bay and coastal environments. Coastal environments are critical parts of our ecosystem and many are threatened by sea-level rise, severe weather disturbances, and ocean acidification; harming shellfish, and contributing to loss of sea habitat. Students at Horn Point are on the front lines of investigating methods to provide for a more sustainable future.
The Laboratory is an institution of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. Your contributions are tax deductible, as allowed by law.
