Robbie Knievel Jump for Sobriety
Organized by: Krysten Knievel-Hansson
Kaptain Robbie Knievel is my father. For many years, I've watched him struggle with alcohol abuse. This is a very serious issue effecting millions of families all over the world. Recently, he had an incident that could have been tragic, but ended up becoming a God send. Because of this, my dad is taking life day by day and plans to take his life and his career in another direction. At Evel Knievel Days in Butte, Montana - my grandfather, Evel Knievel's hometown, my dad Kaptain Robbie Knievel is planning to perform a motorcycle jump as a sober man. This is a triumphant moment in his life. For anyone who has dealt with alcoholism, or a loved one who is an alcoholic, you know how difficult the war with this disease can be. It can be very emotionally draining dealing with a loved one who has a drinking problem. Not only is my dad working to beat the odds and stay sober, but he is going to get on a motorcycle and jump a commercial building at Evel Knievel Days in honor of his father, Evel Knievel . I personally could never jump anything on a motorcycle, let alone sober. Could you? My goal is to help raise as much money as possible to help cover expenses for the stunt, as well as donate 10% of the proceeds to substance abuse programs throughout the country in order to help other families who may be struggling with a loved one they've lost to drugs and alcohol.
*I will also present a piece of autographed memoribilia of your choice to the highest donor signed by Robbie Knievel.
