Let me start by saying, I know that I'm going to be in big trouble for this. Let me explain, since very young, we have been raised to work for what we need and not ask for handouts.. but I don't care and she can't chase me right now. ;) Pride vs. My Mom? What pride? Having said that, here's a small part of my moms story. Roberta had 3 naughty kids but she raised 8 of us and is now raising 3 grandsons. Her house is the one you could always find a meal, a bed or safe place to be yourself but a full bank account was not something that happened often. April 23,2015 Roberta lost her husband and love of her life. After a very long, hard fight to save his life from Cancer, Randy passed away at home with his "girl friend" by his side. Along with grief stricken this also left her the sole caregiver for three grandsons. She had exhausted her saving and had to sell off many of her and her husband's prized possession to pay off his medical bills and keep the bills paid in the house with one income. It's been hard but together, they managed to keep the family together. On September 27th 2016 Roberta got another Cancer diagnosis, this time...hers. I can't DO anything to help her physically but I can swallow my pride and ask you guys to help me lessen some of her other burdens. We have no idea how much of the treatment/surgery is covered by insurance yet or what the hell it's going to cost but are truely grateful for everyone's support and prayers. Help spread the word!
