My name is Robert Gross and I am happily married and we have four wonderful children.I was a very athletic person who lived to play baseball snd softball.I was playing over 240 games a season with local and tournament teams. Then on January 16th 2007 it all came to an end when I was diagnosed with a mitochondrial disease.I was told that my body doesn't produce energy and it will eventually take control of my entire body.Well it has become very emotional and physical over the years and has gotten worse over last few months.I have to tske over 25 pills per day and follow a strict diet.My family has watched me go through over 14 surgeries and emotionally it is destroying them.right knee, fasciotomy of both lower legs in 2010,shoulder torn labrum, muscle biopsy, numerous spinal injections,2013 severe compartment syndrome in lower left leg,I was hours away from losing my leg. Then I also had 4 screws put in my back along with 6 spinal injections. Then most recently I was rushed to hospital on Christmas Eve for emergency fasciotomy to left forearm due to severe compartment syndrome. I got out on January 3rd and was back in hospital for spinal injections the following Wednesday. THEN by February 13th I was back in getting another fasciotomy to same arm but different compartment. Now I have to wear a wound vac until it heals and have nurses come to my home every three days. This has really put a burden on us and we have ran out of options.Any help will do,I am a great father, husband and don't know what my family will do without me..
