On April 27, 2014, the 9/11 Memorial will host our second annual 5K Run/Walk and Family Day to raise awareness about the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and to encourage volunteerism in memory of 9/11.
This non-competitive fun run will take place entirely in lower Manhattan, taking participants on a historic 3.1-mile route that will pass important places that are part of the story of 9/11, and recall how we came together to support one another in the aftermath of 9/11.
The event falls on the day that Ralph and I are getting married in New York City. Even though I will be right there...I will be running a week earlier in Boise as a Global Runner.
As a survivor from the second tower of the World Trade Center, the Memorial and Museum hold a very special place in my heart. It is a way to recognize the friends, co-workers, and brave first responders. It is also a tribute to the men, women, and K9 crew that worked in the rubble at great personal cost.
Please support me by donating or cheering me along the way.
All proceeds raised through your participation in the 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk and Family Day will support the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
Let me know if you have any questions.
