Friends & Family –
Last August, after our first joyous (sleepless and stressful) summer with our newborn son, I was feeling a little out of shape. I had actually put on more “baby weight” than my wife, and knew that I had to do something about it. I thought about getting a personal trainer, rejoining the old rugby team, or even dusting off the boxing gloves. Instead, I decided to go all out. I signed up for an Ironman triathlon.
An Ironman is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile marathon run, all executed back to back. I will be competing in (and hopefully finishing) one here in New York on Aug 11.
To top it off, I’ve also committed to raising $6,000 for my favorite charity, the Robin Hood Foundation. Robin Hood is dedicated to fighting poverty in NYC-- this means everything from meal programs to job training to child healthcare support. It’s been really important to me to turn this personal project into something more meaningful. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated by me, but more importantly, by Robin Hood.
Ways to donate:
1 - Click on the blue Donate link on the top right hand side of this page and follow the instructions.
2 - If you don't want to donate online, just mail me a check. You can make it out to me or the Robin Hood Foundation. Either way, I'll pass it along for you. My mailing address is
267 6th Ave, APT 1
Brooklyn, NY 11215
If your employer offers a charitable gift matching program, please use it and let me know that you did.
Thanks in advance for supporting Robin Hood, and wish me luck.
