I am grateful to have the opportunity to help when I can through my love for running. I am not obligated to raise money to run Boston, however, I think it is my responsibility to make this year's run worth more than me just running. There are so many charities to choose from and I am really impressed with Cops for Kids With Cancer and how they assist families when going through a tough time. I spoke to one of the organizers at length and learned that Cops for Kids has given 25,000 to NH families (expanding outside Mass). I also learned that I can be present when they present the family with the donation. I have had a few family members who have had benefit from getting help through other organizations just like this one - when going to and from treatments so I recognize this to be a great charity. Help me make a difference for a family who shouldn't have to worry about expenses when their child is going through a hard time - a time we would never wish on anyone and if we were ever hit ourselves to know there is help out there - thanks to people who create charities and raise money on their own, Cancer does not discriminate.
