BENEFITING: DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS USA INC
On June 4th, 2016, I will participate in my very first Olympic-distance triathlon in Rock Hall, MD. While the triathlon doesn't require participants to fundraise, I am using this opportunity to support Doctors Without Borders, an organization that does literally life-saving work in more than 60 countries around the world by providing medical aid in armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crisis situations. They have been active in parts of Syria, where over 250,000 people have been killed and 1.9 million people are currently under siege. They have also provided care to some of the 4.5 million people who have fled the country as refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, and Iraq (see more about their work here: http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/country-region/syria). They do vital work in some of the world's most challenging conflict contexts, providing care for some of the world's most vulnerable people. I hope you will consider making a small donation.
