Rockie Davis's manual wheelchair
Organized by: Linda Fairlie
Bobbie ``Rockie'' Davis has been in the same manual chair for 10 years. Not only is it tattered and the upholstery torn but it does not fit her at all any more. She lays on the one side support and has worn a hole in the seat back where she leans. She needs a new back and lateral supports as well as a cushion that fits her current height and weight. Insurance will not pay for any of this since she has an electric chair and that is where the insurance has to stay. She needs a manual chair so she can exercise and participate in physical activities at home and at camp. Numotion of Baltimore has been wonderful in helping us keep the same frame and making adjustments to make it fit her. All money will go to pay for the adjustments to the chair.
