This year we are raising money for Project Purple and I will be running in the Denver Rock - n- Roll 1/2 Marathon in honor of my sister Dina, who in 2012 was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 43. On Friday, June 26, 2015, Dina's 3 year battle came to an end. Through chemo, radiation, surgeries and procedures, she always remained steadfast in her fight. She was a true HERO and inspiration to me and so many others. To quote Stuart Scott "When you die, it does not mean that you lost to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and the mannier in which you live. So live. Live! Fight like hell. And when you get too tired to fight, lay down and rest and let someone else fight for you." I am fighting for my sister. She LIVED! She lived every day, with passion, grace, dignity and continued HOPE. I am fighting the same way that she fought day in and day out over the past three years. Please help us as we continue to fight, raise awareness and funds for continued research in hopes of finding a cure for this terrible disease.
