BENEFITING: SOUTH SUBURBAN HUMANE SOCIETY
In February 2015, Rocky was found dying on the side of the road by Park Forest police after being hit by a car. He was brought to Forest South Animal Hospital who asked their partner, South Suburban Humane Society, if they would provide for his care. Of course, they knew they had to try. Rocky would have several surgeries to amputate his mangled leg and treat huge lacerations and infection that would develop in his other leg. He had a broken pelvis and his btoken jaw was wired. He was in foster care with me undergoing medical treatment until June. The highs and lows were a bit crazy at times with his prognosis, but in June, he was medically cleared. Through it all, all of us recognized the miracle that he was and he remained strong, loving, friendly, and inspirational. When he was medically cleared, he became my foster failure and a forever member of my family. His three legs don't stop him from running, loving life, and living to the fullest. Help make Rocky SSHS's dog of the year by donating to help other dogs like him. Donations were the only way SSHS was able to fund his extensive medical treatment. Thank you!!
