HERE WE GO AGAIN.
2013 is the last recorded time I did not have a beard. I'm putting my beard on the line and letting you, the people, decide its fate.
Comment "shave" or "keep" when you make a donation, and I'll tally them all up! If Team Shave has raised more by the time I cross the finish line, I'll visit a Haitian barbershop and come back looking like I did in 2013. Cast your vote!
I wrote this paragraph a few days after last year's Run Across Haiti. If you followed my journey last year, you'll remember that I had to drop out after completing 13 miles on the last day of running. While I'm doing everything in my power to make sure I cross that finish line this year; it's ultimately not about that. It's about you and me, working together to end poverty in Haiti. Let's do it. My body is tired, sore, and bruised. But as our team made its way across Haiti, all I had to do was look to my left or my right and remember that my pain was finite. For so many Haitian families, the battle against poverty has no definite end point. That's why the work of Team Tassy is so important. They find and create sustainable, dignified jobs, and enable people to break the cycle of poverty. That, my friends, is what it's all about. It's not about running across a country (though that was a blast). It's about ending poverty.
