The Rodman Ride for Kids is an umbrella matching gift charity raising funds for 50 youth-focused social service charities that support at-risk children in Massachusetts.
The 50 affiliated charities serve over 250,000.00 kids through a variety of services in different communities in Massachusetts. The youth they serve are homeless, seriously ill, academically at-risk, economically disadvantaged, living in poverty, low-income households, live in foster care, have developmental disabilities, abused or neglected, malnourished. The need to support the kids are greater than ever! The average age of a homeless person in Massachusetts is 8 years old. The department of education reported that there were more than 20,000 kids in 2015/2016 school year impacted by homelessness.
The Ride for Kids and our 50 affiliated charities fundraise year-round, culminating with the Ride event, a 25, 50, or 100 mile non-competitive cycling tour. The 27th annual Ride for Kids event is on Saturday, September 23rd.
The expenses associated with the Ride for Kids are less than 2.2% of the total revenue, and they are all underwritten by Rodman Ford. This means that when you donate to the Ride for Kids, 100% of your donation will directly benefit at-risk kids!
Our mission is to have every kids in our community live as we would want our own kids to live.
The Ride was founded in 1991 and to date we have raised over $122 million for at-risk kids in Massachusetts.
